In Shandong stop, the international students went to Jinan and Zibo with the theme of exploring “the Yellow River Culture” through the life of people along the riverside. They visited the Yunding Building and Crystal Street Night Market to witness urban development of both cities, tried Longshan Black Pottery making to feel the thousand-year ceramic glaze art of the kiln and visited the century-old Hongji Tang to appreciate the long history of traditional Chinese medicine. The experience helped them immerse themselves in the unique local customs in the lower reaches of the Yellow River, and better understand the glittering Chinese culture through the stories of the Yellow River.

In Anhui stop, the event opened with the themed “Song of the Yangtze River”. The students appreciated the traditional artistic charm of Huangmei Opera in Anqing City, and gained insight into the historical and cultural treasures of the Hui school from the landmarks of the Six Feet Lane, Confucian temple and other historical relics in Tongcheng City. They also visited car manufacturers like the JAC Group to get to know the front line of production and manufacturing and the science and technology innovation and development of Anhui.

The “Daka China 2022: Exploring Magnificent Landmarks” Online International Communication Event is jointly held by CRI Online of China Media Group, and the Cyberspace Administrations of Inner Mongolia, Hubei, Henan, Jiangsu, Heilongjiang, Shanxi, Anhui and Shandong.
