The 3^rd Sino-Malaysis The Belt and Road Initiative (B&R): the Maritime Silk Road international symposium, co-hosted by Huaqiao University (HQU) and Southern University College (SUC), was held from November 10^th to12^th in Malaysia. Specialists, government officials and business elites gathered in SUC to channel joint efforts into discussion on B&R: the Maritime Silk Road and Politics, Economy and Culture of Asia.

      Eight specialists, including Professor Jia Yiming and Professor Xu Peiyuan from HQU, and Research Fellow Xue Li from Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, delivered keynote speeches on behalf of China.

      The Sino-Malaysia B&R: Maritime Silk Road international symposium, organized in turn by HQU and SUC every year，attracts a great number of government officials, specialists and business elites to pour wisdom into Sino-Malaysia relations and cooperation, as well as strategies and problems, exerting massive influence on both China and Malaysia. It has now served as a significant platform for the promotion of practical cooperation and further communication between think tanks of the two countries. The newly established Research Center for the Belt and Road and China by SUC also paves the way for sustainable and long-term cooperation between HQU and SUC.
