The 5^th China University Badminton Super Series was held at Huaqiao University on May 19^th and 20^th, 2018. Ninety-seven athletes from 10 teams of Beijing Jiaotong University, Fujian Normal University, South China Normal University, Jinan University, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), China University of Petroleum (Beijing), Beijing Sport University, Liaoning Shihua University, Xiangtan University and Huaqiao University respectively, competed in the event.

       It was a mixed team competition. In the first stage, the group stage, each group engaged in a round-robin match within itself. The two highest-ranked teams in each group advanced to the next stage, the knockout stage, where they competed for the final fours, and the champion, runner-up and second runner-up.

       Huaqiao University beat South China Normal University 3:0 in the final on the afternoon of May 20^th, which is also the third championship that HQU won after the 2^nd and 3^rd Super Series. Accordingly, South China Normal University finished second, and Xiangtan University and China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) tied for the third place.
