On the afternoon of Sep 22, a delegation from Tahir Foundation  visited Huaqiao University (HQU) to discuss the establishment of a ¥2 million scholarship program donated by Dato’ Sri Prof. Dr. Tahir, a renowned Chinese-Indonesian businessman of Fujian descent. The delegation is comprised ofZhu Qing and Lin Tianfu, representatives from Tahir Foundation, andLuo Yingying, the director of Indonesia Solo Museum of Culture, Science and Technology.

Vice president Wang Xiuyong met with the visiting delegation and extended a warm welcome to them. He expressed his sincere gratitude to the Tahir Foundation for its generous donation. He assured that HQU would honor the Foundation’s philanthropic intentions and utilize the scholarships to motivate and encourage students. Wang also expressed enthusiasm for further collaboration and exchange between the two sides, hoping to build a lasting and meaningful partnership.

During their stay at HQU, the delegation also visited the HQU History Museum, learning about the university’s storied past and its many accomplishments.
